He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Yates and Edith Yates (Sherratt); his wife Johanna Yates; his daughters, Peggy Marshall and Patty Schmitz; his grandchildren, Jillian, Jakob, Kathryn, Sarah, David and Alyson; his great grandchildren, Monte, Sloane, Josephine and Christopher; and his brother Kenneth Yates.
