It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Hightower (Wyomissing, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 30, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hightower and Ella Hightower (Griffen); and his son Joseph Hightower, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Fran Weaver-Hightower; his children, Jacqueline Hightower (Jane Curtis) of Reading, Jeremiah Lamont Hightower of Wilkes, James Weaver, Tonya Hightower Waller of Reading, Alixis Rhodes and Mary Rhodes of Reading; his siblings, Mamie Sims of Aiken, S. C., Juanita Abney of Aiken, S. C., George Hightower (Vivian Hightower) of Reading and William (Cassie Merriweather) of Reading; his grandchildren, Corey Waller, Daija Hightower, Sydney Hightower, Champ Hightower, Marqueysha Williams, Shadeya Spencer and Laylian Cintron; and his great grandchild Keyessence Spencer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special friends.
