He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferman L. May and Mary Ellen May (Lerew); his son Chester W. May; and his siblings, Arlene Seigman and Blain May.
He is survived by: his wife Betty May May (Flory); his children, Ruth L. Miles of Gettysburg, Carolyn A. May of York Springs, Joann B. Bair of East Berlin, Charles F. May of Hanover and Myrle E. May of Gardners; and his siblings, Shirley Raber of Hanover, Linda Runyon of Newburg, Paul May of Dillsburg and Gary May of Gettysburg. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
