It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Marie Stokes in York, Pennsylvania, born in Airville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 17, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard L. Stokes; her parents, Joseph Willis Smith and Carrie Elizabeth Smith (Burns); her grandson Ryan Thompson; and her siblings, Joyce Sprenkle, Stephen Smith and Bradley Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lorrainne Thompson, Carole Stokes (Robin Wolbert) of York, PA, Deborah Martinek (Steve) of Fallston, MD and Kelly Nelson (Andrew) of York, PA; her siblings, Gloria Shanbarger of Red Lion, PA, Frank A. Smith of West Virginia and Gregory Smith; and her grandchildren, Jessica Feeser, Tyler Martinek, Kelsey Reyna, Gabrielle Martinek, William Reyna and Autumn Nelson.
Due to COVID 19, services will be held at a future date with inurnment in McKendree Cemetery with her husband, Richard.
