He was predeceased by: his parent Frederick J.. He is survived by: his parent Dorothy G. Hertel (Price); his spouse Mary A. Hertel (Fisher); his sons, Jonathan B. Hertel of York, Wesley B. Hertel (Laryssa) of Red Lion and Geoffery B. Hertel of Maryland; and his brother Charles Hertel (Dixie) of York.
