He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul E. Godfrey and Mary L. Godfrey (Fitz); his stepfather John McWilliams; and his sisters, Eva Hartman, Ruth Cleaver and Theda Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Godfrey (Miller); his daughters, Jeanne Stremmel (Eugene) of York, Joanne Godfrey of York and Janice Kern (Michael) of Spring Grove; and his grandchildren, Andrea, Amy, Jennifer, Erin, Dan and Ryan. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends.
