He was predeceased by: his parents, Denton Runkle and Charlotte Runkle (Sudak); and his siblings, Bill, Bob Runkle and Nancy Malone (Runkle).

He is survived by: his wife Helen L. Runkle; his brother Jim Runkle (Nancy); and his niece Rosemarie Runkle.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Don's name to York SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, Pa 17406.
