He was predeceased by: his parent Clarence Brenneman; and his siblings, Allen, Donald, Melvin, Fred, Pauline, Blanche, Sara and Amy.

He is survived by: his spouse Wilma Jane Brenneman (Kepner); his parent Ada Brenneman (Crone); his children, Michael Brenneman (Kim Schmuck) of Shiloh and Linda Knause (Terry); his grandchildren, Daniel Knause (Lacey) and Chad Schmuck (Sarah); and his great grandchild Henry Knause.
