She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Lawrence Gilbert; her parents, Mary Culbreth (Sayre) and Wilmer Worthington Hoopes, III; her grandson Andrew Klenk; and her brother Wilmer "Buzz" Worthington Hoopes, IV.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Sayre Gilbert of Manheim, Elisabeth Gilbert Klenk of York and Daniel Lawrence Gilbert of York; her granddaughters, Kathryn Elisabeth Klenk, Megan Elisabeth Gilbert, Julie Garber Smith and Jessica Garber Dickhaus; and her sisters, Louise "Dede" Shafer and Priscilla "Biff" Andre (Chester Guyer). She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
