He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter J. Dougherty and Lillian Dougherty (Salmon); his wife Janet; his brother Bruce Dougherty (Frances) of Los Altos; his half-sisters, Joyce Cahill of Rahway, NJ, Susan Kahney of Linden, NJ and Diane Dwyer of Freehold, NJ; his children, Norma Meisenhelter of York, Eric Dougherty (Ester) of York, Neal Dougherty (Tracy) of York and David Dougherty of Boston; and his grandchildren, Corey, Graham, Jamaica, Jillian, Joshua, Logan and Vanessa. He was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren.
