He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy L. Sweitzer (Burger). He is survived by: his children, Eric Sweitzer (Carol) of York, Tammy Schapansky (Gary) of Loris, SC and Sherrie Gayman of York; his grandchildren, Ashley, Bethany, Gary and Shelby; his great grandchildren, Laken and Delilah; and his stepchildren, Kenneth Hannah and Melissa Price. He is also survived by 12 brothers and sisters.
