He was predeceased by: his parents, Matilda Updegraff (Fetrow) and Frank Updegraff. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Straley Melhorn; his sons, Armando "Andy" Melhorn (Shana) of Royston, GA, Skip Melhorn and Mark Melhorn (Teri) of El Cajon, CA; and his stepchildren, Candy Weden (Matt) of Charlotte, S. C. and John Straley (Rene) of Chase City, VA.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
