He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Eileen M. Tanner (Felix); his parents, James F. Tanner Sr. and Dorothy L. Tanner (Fogle); and his children, Christopher J. Tanner (Joy), Daniel L. Tanner (Kristie), Angela E. Saylor (Robert III) and Jennifer L. Renner (Chris). He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.
