He is survived by: his children, Crystal Bynum and Jameel Johnson; his sister Beverly Elaine Johnson; his grandchildren, Nasjai Smith and Brycen Gray; and his stepsiblings, Jerome Carter, Melvin Carter, Benny Carter, Carolyn Thompson and Madell Clark. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
