He was predeceased by: his stepmother Nellie Mae Nance; and his son-in-law Daniel Thaxton. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Nance of Hurricane; and his children, Sandra Thaxton of Teays Valley, Ed Nance of Hurricane, Dave Nance (Stella L.) of Hurricane and Jenny Fizer (Scott) of Hurricane. He is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.
