He is survived by: his wife Marian J. Whittington (Jones); his children, John R. Whittington, Jr. of Windsor and Bambi L. Watson of York, Pennsylvania; and his stepdaughter Lynne M. Warner of York, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
