He was predeceased by: his wife Doris J. Pflaum (Trovinger); and his parents, Violet (Winzerl) and Lawrence Pflaum, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Pflaum of York, Krista Ness (Richard) of York, Susan Shiffer (William) of York and Sharon Wilkie of Scottsdale, AZ; his grandchildren, Alexander Wilkie (Irina), Jessica Manning (Christopher), Andrew Wilkie (Samantha), Kara Zortman (Jesse), Dylan Shiffer (Lauren Rhodes) and Zachary Ness (Kaitlyn Johnstone); and his brother Jarrett Pflaum (Sandra) of York, PA.. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
