She was predeceased by: her parents, William Arthur Frey and Mary Ellen Frey Lau (Eline); her sister Bonnie L. Zech (Bonita); her stepfather Richard D. Lau; and her brother-in-law Richard "Dick" Bartolomea.
She is survived by: her husband Norman Jacob Monson, Jr.; her children, Erik William Monson (Katherine Se-Kyong) and Drew Norman Monson of San Diego, CA.; her grandson Jacob Daesoo Monson of Pasadena; and her siblings, Julia A. Bartolomea of Boalsburg, Dr. William A. Frey (Roberta) of Atlanta, GA, Joan L. Loughry (Thomas) of Charleston, SC, Michael W. Frey (Shirley) of York, Jane E. Sentz (Steven) of York, Sharon R. Pichler (Stephen) of York and Mark S. Frey of Butler. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and step-brothers and step-sisters.
