He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Mitzel and Blanche Mitzel (Herman); and his grandson Samuel Mitzel. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley A. Mitzel (Smith); his sons, Keith Mitzel (Gayle) and Scott Mitzel (Patricia) of Austin, TX; and his sister Gloria Kramer of York, PA.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.
