He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia K. (Shive) and Nevin J. Bechtel, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sandee" Bechtel (Vaught); his children, Kurt M. Heffner and Megan M. Heffner; his brother Nevin J. Bechtel, Jr. (Karen); and his nephews, Keith and Mark Bechtel.
