She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry I. Martin and Margaret Elizabeth Martin (Drake); her son John H. Yorgey; and her siblings, Elizabeth Klerr, Eleanor Jacobs, Harry I. Martin, Jr., Charles Martin and Robert Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph C. Yorgey, Ruth A. Yorgey and David K. Yorgey; and her siblings, Ruth Olkewicz, Margaret Ervin, John Martin, Joan Whited, Paul Martin, Linda Hallman and Richard Martin. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was blessed to receive the kindnesses of ManorCare's staff and personnel, as well as other residents and friends there who cared about her and cared for her, especially so when visitations by family and friends were suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
