With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon R. Shields (York, Pennsylvania), born in Dallastown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 11, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Delores C. Shields; his parents, Spurgeon E. Shields and Beulah E. Shields (Crumling); his great grandchild Hank Lee Kohr; his brother Richard; and his sister-in-law Betty Shields.
He is survived by: his children, Sue E. Kohr (Stephen) of Manchester, Stephen R. Shields of York and George Mark Shields (Melissa Ann) of York; his grandchildren, Daniel S. Kohr (Larissa), Adam M. Kohr (Kendra), Zachary D. Kohr (Caitlin), Micah J. Kohr, Mackenzie R. Shields, Nicholas M. Shields and Bryce W. Shields; and his great grandchildren, Harper, Lawson and Max Kohr.
