We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2021, at the age of 87, Ethel Chalfant of Youngsville, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Elden Merle and Dorothy Cuthbert McNary of Eighty-Four; and her brothers, Merle Allen, Glenn and Clarence McNary (Sonny) of Eighty-Four, PA..

She is survived by : her husband Archie Bergen Chalfant; her daughters, Sheree Troy (Tom) of Valdese, NC and Darla Herrnberger (Philip) of Irvine, PA; her grandchildren, Grant Herrnberger of Proctor, WV and Abigail Herrnberger Novotny (Mike) of Slippery Rock, PA; her great grandchildren, Clayton, Raigyn, Bena and Everett; and her sisters, Donna Kraeer of McDonald and Jean McNary of Murrells Inlet. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity or your local library.
