He was predeceased by: his parent Anton Solman; and his wife Mary Lou Solman. He is survived by: his parent Helen Sorosky Solman; his son Fred F. Solman Jr.; his wife Amy Solman of Zelienople; his grandchildren, Breanna Solman, Heather Solman and Braden Solman; his nephew Harry Kirsch (Chris) of Evans City; and also Randy Solman (Cindy) of Volant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Fred's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
