He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Moniz and Hilda Moniz (Pimentel); his brother Walter Moniz; and his sibling-in-law Fátima Moniz. He is survived by: his wife Maria of Fátima; his children, Marc Joseph Moniz and Andrea Marie Moniz (Zachary DeLoughery); his siblings, Filomena Botelho (John), Jean Moniz, Lorena Moniz, Benjamin Moniz and John Moniz; and his brother-in-law José. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home (2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church (81 N Carpenter St, East Providence, RI 02914).
