It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara M. Shields of Chepachet, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on March 11, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Hawkins and Gladys Hawkins (Grenier); and her brother Richard Hawkins. She is survived by : her husband Robert F. Shields, Sr.; her son Robert F. Shields, Jr. (Darlene) of Chepachet; her grandchildren, Patrick, Emily, Ryan, Isabelle Shields and Benjamin Octeau; and her brothers, Thomas Hawkins of Florida, Raymond Hawkins of Johnston and James Hawkins of Belmont, MA.. She is also survived by her two great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Troop 44, C/O Myles Beltram, Scoutmaster, 35 Reservoir Road, Chepachet, RI 02814.
