He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Charlotte Sherman-Fontaine (Bishop); his parents, Aurelien Fontaine and Margette Fontaine (Veland); his son Robert F. Fontaine, Jr. of Bellingham, MA; his grandchildren, Christine and Robert Fontaine; and his siblings, Pat Deslaurier, Lorriene Bodwell, Edgar, Jerry, Donald Fontaine, Jean Trank, Richard and Paul Fontaine. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed. due to the COVID pandemic there will be no services at this time.
