He was predeceased by: his spouse Pamela McPhillips (Hakanson); his parent John L.; his child Erin McPhillips; and his sibling Mary McPhillips. He is survived by: his parent Agnes McPhillips (Gorman); his children, Sean McPhillips of Cranston, Holly Henderson (John Henderson) of Coventry, Ashly McPhillips of Boston, MA, Chris Droitcour and Ricky Droitcour; his grandchildren, Cameron Henderson and Shane Henderson; and his sibling John "Jack" L. McPhillips, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
