He was predeceased by: his spouse Betsy E. Bankauskas (Ferguson); his parent Agzabas Bankauskas; and his sibling Louise Williams. He is survived by: his parent Annie Bankauskas (Markavich); his children, Karen E. Murphy (Marcus) of Warwick and John E. Bankauskas, Jr.; his wife Deborah of Coventry; his siblings, Frances Guilmette of Johnston and Barbara Adams of West Warwick; and also, Michael R. Bankauskas of Warwick and Lisa J. Bankauskas-Mosca (Keith) of Warwick. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
