He was predeceased by: his sibling Joseph Prior. He is survived by: his son John J. Prior III; his wife Cheryl of North Kingstown; his son David M. Prior; his wife Marie of Swansea, MA.; his daughter Maureen P. Sciolto (Vito) of Cranston; his grandchildren, Ian, Christopher and Vanessa; his great grandchildren, Ava and Caroline; and his siblings, George Prior, Harriet Jancovic, Beatrice Auger, Alice Stender and Agnes Bathgate.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
