He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleophus Gauthier and Antoinette Gauthier (Lamoureux); and his brothers, Charles and Rene. He is survived by: his wife Jean; his siblings, Yvonne Murray and Richard; his children, Gail (David) and Jack (Elaine); his grandchildren, John Paul III, Jesse, David and Vanessa; and his great grandchild Henry.
