She was predeceased by: her parents, Serafim Resendes Pereira and Maria Jose; and her siblings, Maria Deus of Portugal, Eugenia, Jose and Artur.

She is survived by: her husband Antonio M. Alves of Cranston; her children, Paul Alves of Burrillville, Victor Alves of Cumberland, Grace Morris of Warren, Elena Finucane of Cranston, Ana Alves of Smithfield and Carlos Alves of Cranston; and her siblings, Gilda of Portugal and Mesias of Portugal. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
