She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband James H. Holgate; her parents, Walter Kwiatkoski and Theresa Holden (Burke); her stepfather Fredrick Holden; her children, Richard A. Higham, Michael S. Holgate, Marjorie A. Holgate of Cranston, Lori J. Holgate of Cranston and Nancy A. Canzone of Cranston; her siblings, Walter Kern of Kansas, Theresa E. Bordreau of Warwick and Darlene A. Ihlefeld of Warwick; her son Edward F. Higham, Jr.; and her sister Muriel E. Lolio. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
