It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Cappelli (Cranston, Rhode Island), born in Johnston, Rhode Island, who passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Alice A. Cappelli (DeSantis); his parents, Angelo Cappelli and Elizabeth Cappelli (LaBanca); his son William; and his brother John.

He is survived by : his children, Elinor Cappelli of Johnston, Tracy Conti and Michael Cappelli; his son-in-law Stephen Conti of Cranston; his grandchild Arianna Conti; and his brothers, Joseph Cappelli of Johnston, Angelo Cappelli of Darien, CT and Albert Cappelli.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory (1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910). His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 26th at 9:30 a. m. in St. Rocco Church, 931 Atwood Ave., Johnston (seating will be limited, social distancing and masks required). Burial with military honors at St. Ann Cemetery will be private.
