Though Edward may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward D. and Josephine S. Szpila (Maczuga). He is survived by: his children, Lisa Szpila of Cumberland and Jason Szpila of Cumberland; his fiancée Debbie Herbert of Attleboro; his sister Carol Beauvais (Roger) of Cumberland; and his grandchildren, Aidan, Boston Lee and Josephine.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home (757 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Aidan Church (1460 Diamond Hill Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864).
