She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Scott Barrie of Providence, RI.; and her parents, Harold D. Durfee and Janet S. Durfee (Shepard). She is survived by: her children, Robert H. Barrie (Jean) of Carolina, RI and Janet C. Wells of Putnam, CT; her grandchildren, Keith Brochu, Jeanette Arthur, Elizabeth DeVoe (Michael), Roger Wells and John Wells (Ducilia); her great grandchildren, Jessica Senior, Julie Kisinger (Bailey), Justin Senior, Faith Arthur, Sarae DeVoe, Ezra DeVoe, Robert Wells, Samuel Wells and John Mark Wells; her great great grandchild Hayden Kisinger; and her brothers, Harold and David.
Face coverings must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced both at the funeral home and church. Due to current health guidelines, burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown will be private. ***Joan's funeral service and burial will be livestreamed on the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home Facebook page at approximately 11am on Saturday.
