He was predeceased by: his wife Mary T. Cunningham (Hanrahan); his parents, William Cunningham and Winifred Cunningham (O'Hara); and his daughter Joanne M. Rapoza. He is survived by: his children, Plumbing, Mary Terry McGovern (James) of Narragansett, James P. "Tug" Cunningham Jr. of East Providence and Colleen J. Milazzo (Edward) of South Kingstown. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
