Evelyn Furtado Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Furtado of Jamestown, Rhode Island, born in Newport, Rhode Island, who passed away on March 4, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her husband Frank E. Furtado; her parents, Edward J. Gillis and Margaret Gillis (Devine); her grandson Ian E. Krebs; and her brothers, Kenneth Gillis and Donald Gillis.
She is survived by : her children, Edward Furtado (Claire), Elaine Flynn-Miller (Mark), Elizabeth Furtado, Stephen Furtado and Julie Krebs (David); her grandchildren, Laura Caster (Jamie), Gregory Flynn (Jessica), Joshua Shea, Emily Critz (Carl), Monica Krebs and Alexa Waluk (Stephen); and her siblings, Thomas Gillis and Marie Matoes. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Evelyn's name to Jamestown EMS/Fire Department or South County Health will be appreciated.
