He was predeceased by: his parents, Dionisios Sampalis and Panagiota Sampalis (Giouzis); and his sibling Yiannis Sampalis. He is survived by: his wife Valerie B. Sampalis (Hall); his children, Paula A. Schiavitti (Thomas) of Smithfield, Dennis J. Sampalis (Beth) of Scituate and Kristina R. Sampalis Campbell (Scott) of Smithfield; his grandchildren, Francesca, Giana Schiavitti, Alexandria and Demetrius Sampalis; and his siblings, Bessie Spinos, Marigo Georgakas and Panagiotis Sampalis.
