He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret E. Martins (Mitchell); and his parents, Manuel V. Martins, Sr. and Maria Martins (Viveiros). He is survived by: his children, Mark Martins of Florida and Sherry George of Florida; and his grandchild Regan Clarke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19, his memorial service will take place at a later date.
