He was predeceased by: his spouse Carminda Amaral; his parents, Antonio Amaral and Augusta Do Couto; and his brother Joao Amaral. He is survived by: his siblings, Duarte Amaral and Maria Da Graca Amaral; and his children, Maria, Teresa, Susan, Manuel and Michael. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
