He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth D'Abate (Bond) and Senator William D'Abate; and his brother William D'Abate, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine D'Abate (Fusco); his children, Richard D'Abate, Jr. (Donna Mazzulla), David D'Abate (Kim), Kevin D'Abate and Julie Calise (Jamie); his grandchildren, Joseph D'Abate, Daniel, Matthew Calise, Kent and Tia D'Abate; his siblings, Ida Burke, Denise Orton, Bernice DeMarco, Davida D'Abate and John D'Abate (Phyllis); and his sister-in-law Marie Calvitto. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
