He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Fitzgerald and Anna Fitzgerald (Matson-Tyberg); his daughter Patricia Phelps; and his sister Helen Warren. He is survived by: his wife Beulah "Mary" Fitzgerald (Bamford); his children, Robert Fitzgerald of Cranston, Melissa Polofsky (Brett) of Johnston and Tammy Sapp of Ohio; his siblings, Margaret Trafford, Francis Fitzgerald, Thomas Fitzgerald, Richard Fitzgerald, Raymond Fitzgerald and River; and his grandsons, Xander, Owen and Gavin. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
