He was predeceased by : his wife Mary Ann; and his brother Camillo. He is survived by : his girlfriend Enid Mecker; his children, Alex Jr. (Crystal), Juliette Barber (Jesse) and Jason (Aurora); his sister Teresa Johnston (Robert); his siblings-in-law, Cecelia Freda (Michael) and Sanders Reina (Martha); and his grandchildren, Whitney, Landon, Julien, Marielle, Mikayla, Joshua and Mia.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home (88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI 02879). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Star of the Sea (864 Point Judith Rd, Narragansett, RI 02882).

Memorial donations in memory of Alexander Salas may be made to the Veteran Administration.
