He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Gomes Gonsalves and Ella Julia Gonsalves (Lomba); his close friend Alyce Machado; his stepchildren, Abel Machado Jr. (Dino), April Machado and Deirdre Machado-Tomar; and his siblings, Emilio Gonsalves and Georgianna "Pumpkin" Anglin.
He is survived by: his close friend Milagros E. Baes; his children, Chandra Machado, Angelita Beltran, Bella Noka, Noela Machado, Chastity Machado and Kim Michael Machado; and his siblings, Jacqueline Bliss-Saritelli and Pearl Henderson. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home (2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
