It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Caroljean Hempstead Goulder of North Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on November 16, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orson Hempstead and Jean Lischer Hempstead; her brother Dillon Hempstead; her husband John T. Blake; her former husband L. L. Goulder, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Stephen Blake and Ashley Blake.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Goulder Brown, David Goulder (Diane) and Ann Goulder; her stepdaughter Patricia Blake; her granddaughters, Rachel, Carolyn Goulder and Meredith Blake; and her siblings, John Hempstead and Lorna Hempstead Kuyk. She is also survived by several nieces and great nieces and nephew, plus many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The American Lung Association for research on Interstitial Lung Disease.
