He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank McGehearty and Elizabeth McGehearty (Kelly); and his brother Frank McGehearty. He is survived by: his wife Martha McGehearty (Ashworth); his sisters, Patricia Messier, Mary Rogers Clarke and Maureen Morel; and his friend Stephen Hall.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Maceroni Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1381 Smith St, North Providence, RI 02911). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 8:45 AM at the Maceroni Funeral Home (1381 Smith St, North Providence, RI 02911). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Augustine Church (639 Mt Pleasant Ave, Providence, RI 02908). A burial was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery (301 S County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack's memory may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
