She was predeceased by : her husband James Burton. She is survived by : her children, Bill Burton (Dona) of Lee's Summit, Liz Soyka (Mike) of Barrington, Jim Burton (Melissa) of Middletown, John Burton of Scituate and Mary Pierce (Jim) of Portsmouth. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made be made in her name to St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth or Portsmouth Public Library, 2658 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
