She was predeceased by: her parents, R. Bernard and Theresa (Sauvageau). She is survived by: her siblings, Priscilla Keough (Paul) of Hingham, Laura Green (Richard) of Amherst, Marie Canesi (Chuck) of Bellingham and Philip Biron of Bellingham; her godson Paul Keough; and her siblings' children, Krysta, William, Pierce, Katrina, Jarrad, Lindsey, Samantha and Charlie.
After postdoctoral fellowships at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation, the Karolinska Institute, and the University of Massachusetts, Dr. Biron began her faculty appointment at Brown as an assistant professor of medical science in 1987.
