It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilda Pereira Demedeiros (Riverside, Rhode Island), who passed away on April 13, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel Luis Alves; and her parents, Jose Medeiros and Edviges DaSilva (Pereira). She is survived by: her sons, Jose Maria Alves (Maria) and Leonardo Manuel Alves (Gloria); her grandchildren, Jessica Hoyle, Christopher Alves, Marlene McCarthy, Liliana Alves and Elsa Alves; and her siblings, Maria Machado (Jose Medeiros) of Bristol, Maria Edviges and Silva (Maria Teresa).
